B2ST sings Junhyung’s self-produced song “Black Paradise” for ‘IRIS 2′ OST + MV released

B2ST woke up their sleeping B2UTYs with the release of Junhyung’s self-created song “Black Paradise” for the KBS 2TV drama ‘IRIS 2‘ OST!

“Black Paradise” is the third song released for the drama following Davichi‘s “Do You Not Know” and Noel‘s “What Is It Like“. Although fans got a short preview of the song on the February 21st broadcast as well as hint on the lyrics from Junhyung himself, the full song was kept under wraps until now!

Junhyung who also produced fellow member Yoseob‘s “Caffeine” teamed up with composer Kim Tae Joo to produce the song for his fellow member Doojoon‘s starring drama. The song breaks away from the typical OST songs you tend to hear in serious dramas with the addition of a hip hop feel.

B2ST will be supporting Doojoon‘s drama by releasing a track for ‘Iris 2‘.

Much like how Big Bang sung “Hallelujah” for T.O.P when he played the role of Vick on ‘Iris‘, B2ST will be coming together for Doojoon to sing “Black Paradise“.

Doojoon plays agent Seo Hyun Woo in ‘Iris 2‘, and he’s been showing off his trademark charisma combined with bright smiles on the drama.

B2ST’s ‘Selca Book by BEAST’ hits bestseller list

B2ST‘s photo book ‘Selca Book by BEAST‘ has hit the bestseller list soon after pre-orders started on the 13th KST.

The members of B2ST personally took selcas for the photo book during their day-to-day activities. They also wrote small messages to go along with each photo.

‘Selca Book by BEAST’, which contains around 500 images, is separated into the following chapters: ‘Unforgettable Moment’, ‘A Pleasant Memory’, ‘Joyful Days’, ‘Happiness Story’, ‘Thank You for Everything’, and ‘Until We Meet Again’.

The moment pre-orders started online, it rose to 2nd place on the bestseller list at Kyobo Bookstore. Pre-orders will close on the 20th KST.

B2ST‘s Dongwoon recently snapped a selca with his older brother while holding up the New Year’s money they received from family members.

On February 11th, Dongwoon tweeted, “My older brother and I are excited after receiving New Year’s money“, and retweeted a post made by his older brother that read, “Hello! Happy New Year ^ㅠ^ Be careful not to catch a cold!”

It seems Dongwoon is one of the numerous idols who has gone home over the Lunar New Year holiday weekend, as he can be seen posing with his older brother while holding up cash-filled envelopes.

Fans and followers responded to his tweet, “Even your brother is good-looking“, “How much did you get?“, “Happy Lunar New Year“, and “You both are handsome.”

B2ST members showed their support for Yoseob‘s solo debut!

Leader Doojoon started with, “Yang Yoseob is the best“, and then wrote, “Yang Yoseob, do well!!!!!!!!!!! I’m addicted to Americano, so you’ll succeed, fighting!!!!“. On the 26th, he added, “Whoaaaaaooooaaaaaaa “Caffeine” is the besssssst keuahhhhh gwahhhh kyakyakyakya“, amusing fans with his hyperness.

On the day Yoseob’s album was released, Dongwoon wrote, “Yoseob hyung’s first solo album! It’s been revealed. It’s good, it’s good. Applause to Junhyung and Yoseob for working so hard!”

B2ST display their classy charms for ’1st Look’

B2ST showed off their boyish, yet manly charms through ‘1st Look‘s recent photoshoot. Each members captivated the viewers with their alluring stares and natural poses while they pulled off fall and winter clothing in toned down shirts, knits, and jeans.

During the interview following the shoot, Doojoon shared that he was focusing on his acting career as he joined the cast of KBS drama ‘Iris 2‘ and a movie, ‘Marrying the Mafia 5 – Return of the Family‘, and also revealed that the members mostly experienced emotional changes during the three years since B2ST’s debut.

B2ST shared, “We found a lot of peace recently, and compared to when we first debuted, we are somewhat more relaxed. Of course we sometimes still get impatient and get flustered but it seems like the time is coming for us to comfortably express ourselves more. So these days, all of the activities are enjoyable.”

Dongwoon discussed the launch of his new career as a music actor by landing a lead role in ‘Catch Me If You Can‘. He also wanted to tell his fans, “In December, there must be people who get more lonely and also people who spend time being closer with their loved one and family. Although you may get cold and lonely, I want you guys to know that there are many people around you that care for you.”

Kikwang shared, “During concerts abroad, the scene of overseas fans getting over the language barrier and enjoying B2ST’s music was fresh and left an impression on me. Also, from being an MC on KBS‘ ‘Win Win‘ for two years, I learned a lot of ways to live life and become more optimistic by listening to many sunbaes’ stories.”

Hyunseung revealed that he wants 2013 to be the year for B2ST members to each give rise to their charms and talents, and Junhyung shared that the members resolved their conflicts through a group chat on their phones. He commented that 2012 has been a time for B2ST to mature and hopes that their maturity will bear fruit in 2013.

B2ST’s main vocalist, Yoseob, revealed that he takes care of his vocals with a liquid extracted from bellflower, and shared that B2ST will work hard to win the grand music award in 2013.

Girls' Generation member Jessica has been gaining much attention with her role in the musical, "Legally Blonde," which was originally a movie from 2001.

Jessica had played this role back in 2009 and has been casted again for the role, 3 years later. Jessica commented at the press conference, "This is a musical that I love and I am happy to play the role again. I hope to work well with the other actors."

A Pink member Jung Eunji also will be playing the role of Elle Woods for the musical, "Legally Blonde." She commented, "I had always wanted to be a musical actor when I was younger and I am so happy that I am finally able to live that dream."

For the musical, "Catch Me if you Can," many male idols have been featured such as Super Junior's Kyuhyun, SHINee's Key, ZE:A's Dong Jun, BEAST's Son Dongwoon and others. This musical is directed by Steven Spielberg and was also made into a movie that featured Leonardo DiCaprio.

4minute member Jeon Jiyoon also has debuted as a musical actress with her first musical, "My Love By My Side." Many are curious to see how she does on stage. This musical will begin on December 8 to January 20.

Other singers such as Shoo and Bae Seul Ki have also taken a stab at musicals as well. They will be performing in the musical, "The Golden Days."

This musical will begin on November 11.

It seems that many idols have begun branching out into different types of music to greet the audience with a different and fresh image.

‘HEAD’ reveals new CFs featuring B2ST

Sports brand ‘HEAD‘ has released new CFs of B2ST, who have partnered up with them to promote their fall winter collection.

The new CFs feature two versions including a “black” version as well as a “white”. The black version features members Junhyung, Kikwang, and Dongwoon, while the white version is made up of members Hyunseung, Doojoon, and Yoseob.

B2ST to stop all activities in November to work on new album

B2ST will be halting all of their activities in November for their new album.

Currently, the boys are in the middle of their Japanese tour which is visiting six cities in Japan. Their Japanese tour will conclude at the end of the month on October 30th at Zepp Diver City TOKYO and then the boys were scheduled to have a few promotions in Korea. However, Cube Entertainment stated, “The members will be focusing on their album in November. They won’t have any schedules in November in order to produce a high quality album. The members are passionate about making a successful conclusion to the year on the Korean stage.”

The B2ST members are working on not only the music, but also the fashion and hairstyles they will have during the new album promotions.

Cube Entertainment artists to target Indonesian market with the help of Rainbow Bridge Agency

Cube Entertainment artists like 4minute, B2ST, G.NA, BTOB, and more have signed a contract with Rainbow Bridge Agency, who will act as the official Indonesian agent for Cube artists.

On October 17th, Rainbow Bridge president Kim Jin Woo and Cube Entertainment representative Park Choong Min have joined together to begin activities in Indonesia for all of the artists under Cube Entertainment.

Rainbow Bridge stated, “Through the contract, We will be preparing for the management related activities for Cube Entertainment artists including broadcast activities, concerts, CFs, and various events in Indonesia. We will be marketing B2ST, 4minute, G.NA, and BTOB in Indonesia and help spread Hallyu.”

With the new collaboration underway, 4minute will perform in “Volume Up Party” on October 31st with ‘S4‘, the winner from season 1 of Indonesia’s audition program, ‘Galaxy Superstar‘.

B2ST to hold fan meeting on Google+ for 3rd year anniversary

B2ST has prepared a special event for fans in celebration of their 3rd year anniversary!

On October 16 at 10PM KST, B2ST will hold an online fan meeting through their official Google+ page. The B2ST members prepared the event to relay their thanks to fans who have supported them for the past three years.

Each B2ST member is planning to reveal his honest thoughts and behind-the-scenes stories. Netizens replied, “B2ST has been performing for three years already“, “Time passes quickly“, and “B2ST is already a three-year-old group“.

After debuting in 2009 with “Bad Girl“, B2ST has been steadily gaining fame and fans to become one of the most recognizable K-pop groups of today. They most recently concluded promotions for “Beautiful Night“.

B2ST become heroes for sports brand HEAD

The sports brand HEAD released a CF of the boy band B2ST donning ‘HERO JACKETS‘ for the 2012 Fall / Winter season.

The jackets are nicknamed as the ‘B2ST Windbreakers’ by fans, and HEAD has sold more than 10,000 jackets after only a month and a half since its release. The HEAD CF features the B2ST members in a cartoon-like setting, showing off their characteristic charisma.

Kikwang was the main focus of the CF, and he showed off the various hero jackets and cool jump moves. HEAD said, “The new generation tends to be very passionate about the people that became heroes from their own passion. The boys of B2ST serve as the heroes of teenagers, and they are very talented with a friendly persona. Their image fits perfectly with the product concept of the HERO jacket.”

B2ST dresses up in warm knits for High Cut

Junhyung, Yoseob, Kikwang and Dongwoon of B2ST participated in a photoshoot for the 87th issue of the fashion magazine High Cut.

For the upcoming Fall / Winter season, the boys dressed in nordic-patterned knits for the photoshoot, giving off a warm, winter-like feel while interacting naturally with the female models. The photoshoot was titled ‘It’s a Beautiful Night‘, and featured the boys and the models at the Platoon Kunsthalle in Seoul.

The issue hit news stands on October 4th, and also feature’s Psy‘s first ever solo photoshoot.

B2ST reveals full PV for Japanese version of “Midnight”

Although B2ST recently concluded their “Beautiful Night” promotions in Korea, the group will be back very soon to promote their third Japanese single, ‘Midnight Sun‘.

‘Midnight Sun’ will be released on October 17th in three first press limited edition versions and a CD only version.

Earlier today the group revealed the full music video/PV for “Midnight“.  Fans are able to get an idea of the groups new styling, which is completely different from the Korean MV.

B2ST and VIXX snap a friendly picture together

Boy groups B2ST and VIXX displayed their friendship with a recent picture.

On August 23rd, VIXX released the picture above on their official fan cafe, ‘RealVIXX‘, sharing the two group’s latest interaction with fans. B2ST member Yoseob also holds up VIXX’s new album in the picture, further showing his support for the rookie group.

In addition, VIXX recently selected B2ST as their role-model group, explaining, “Each member has a unique character and personality, but the 6 members also work so well as a strong team”. It was also revealed that ‘Rock Ur Body‘, VIXX’s new single, was originally made for B2ST by none other than producer Shinsadong Tiger. Sunbae group B2ST graciously passed on the song to VIXX, which brought attention from fans of both groups.

VIXX stated, “We hope our own pathway to success is similar to B2ST’s. Our goal for ‘Rock Ur Body’ is to receive more attention from the general public.”

VIXX is currently hard at work with promotions for their second single, ‘Rock Ur Body’.

B2ST members share their most recent concerns on ‘Show Champion’

The B2ST members have a lot to smile about these days, especially after earning a #1 K-Chart win on multiple music programs, but even these boys seemed to have their share of concerns.

B2ST who performed on MBC Music‘s ‘Show Champion‘ listened to the concerns of their fellow peers, and then shared some of their own.

Kikwang began, “I have not been getting enough sleep, so my voice cracks when I hit the high notes,” while Yoseob added, “I want to grow taller,” and Yong Junhyung remarked, “I run out of breath really easily these days.”

Member Jang Hyun Seung who admitted he ate a lot of meat these days said, “I eat beef twice a day, and I’m afraid my personality will become really vicious,” and maknae Son Dongwoon hilariously confessed, “It’s so cold here right now, I don’t know what to do with myself.”

Leader Doojoon displayed his leadership as he shared, “I want B2ST to become even more successful, and I am thinking of how we can accomplish that.”

Despite their concerns, the boys seized the ‘Champion Song’ position and proved that they are currently one of the hottest idol groups in K-Pop.
