U-KISS’ Dongho gives special lecture at his alma mater

U-KISS‘ Dongho was invited to give a special lecture at his alma mater Hanrim High School of Performing Arts. He graduated from the applied music department this year.

On March 26th, Dongho lectured about ‘Living as an Idol in Korea’ to his juniors. NH Media shared, “Dongho felt shy about giving a special lecture to his juniors at first, but accepted it because he thought it would be helpful to tell them stories he learned from his experiences. He’s been preparing for the lecture diligently despite his  busy schedule and is planning to tell his juniors many stories.”

During the hour long lecture, Dongho discussed the idol process and hardships he faced as a trainee and as an idol group member as well as the rewarding moments from the hard work.

Meanwhile, U-KISS is currently promoting their third album’s title song “Standing Still“.

U-KISS’ Dongho gets giddy from a back hug on ‘Star King’

U-KISS‘ Dongho got a ‘back hug’ from genius guitarist Jang Ha Eun on the latest ‘Star King‘.

On the March 16th broadcast, siblings Jang Ha Eun and Jang Ha Jin prepared an amazing guitar performance. Dongho was unable to look away from their expert guitar playing, which Rainbow‘s Jaekyung pointed out.

He explained, “She’s so pretty playing guitar.” MC Kang Ho Dong then suggested Dongho and Jung Ha Eun play the instrument together. The professional guitarist tried to lead Dongho, helping him from behind. 

The idol was unable to hide his nervousness, getting giddy with laughter from the ‘back hug’.

U-KISS gather together for a hilarious group shot

The members of U-KISS recently gathered together for a hilarious group shot in the car on the way to their scheduled destination.

Soohyun shared on his Twitter on the 6th, “u~~~~~~~kiss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone’s here, everyone’s here kekeke”, along with the photo above.

The photo shows the U-KISS members smiling and making funny faces to the camera. But the funniest face of all belonged to Dongho (on the far right) who has fallen asleep with his head turned back and mouth wide open. After seeing Dongho in such a state, fans burst into laughter at his adorable way of sleeping.

U-KISS to make a comeback with a new album this March

It has been announced that U-KISS will  be making their Korean comeback this coming March!

For their return, the boys will be collaborating with composer Kim Hyung Suk once again to greet eagerly awaiting fans.

A representative revealed on the 30th, “Talented Kim Hyung Suk, Ryan Jhun, and other producers that they previously worked with participated in the new album and the recording was completed. U-KISS started actively promoting in Japan last year, and as a tour is also planned, they will simultaneously conduct their Korean and Japanese activities.”

U-KISS reveals teaser trailer for upcoming Japanese single “ALONE”

Earlier in the month, we reported that U-KISS will be releasing a new Japanese single in February. Christmas came a little early for KISSME‘s as a teaser trailer for “ALONE” was unveiled on the Avex‘s official YouTube channel.

According to the group’s official Japanese site, the single will consist of four tracks, including “ALONE” and its instrumental. The accompanying track is currently an unnamed song and the instrumental version of the unnamed song will be included as well.

U-KISS’ Dongho’s ‘Don’t Cry Mommy’ ranks #1 at the box office over ‘Wolf Boy’ & ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′

U-KISS‘ Dongho‘s ‘Don’t Cry Mommy‘ topped the box office ranking on its opening day.

The movie brought in 112,223 viewers on its first day, which was good enough to beat out both ‘Wolf Boy‘ and ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2‘. The two other movies have continuously been 1st and 2nd place, so ‘Don’t Cry Mommy’ beating both of these movies was an impressive feat.

The movie had previously been rated for adults only, but the movie makers protested the rating, saying that it was aimed for the youth. The movie deals with sexual assault of a young girl, who commits suicide. Her mother then commits murder of her daughter’s attackers.

On the same day, ‘Wolf Boy’ brought in 80,922 viewers, and ‘Breaking Dawn Part 2′ brought in 76,527 viewers.

U-Kiss’ Dong Ho displays some superb acting on Don’t Cry Mommy

U-Kiss’ Dong Ho is receiving considerable attention by appearing on the movie Don’t Cry Mommy as a two-faced boy.

The movie, which will be released on November 22, is about a mom, who loses her only daughter and tries to get revenge on her high school aggressors.

Dong Ho played the role of a handsome and innocent looking boy named Jo Han, who actually hides his dark side. He puts a high school girl named Eun Ah into a corner without feeling guilty.

Dong Ho, who has appeared in several TV series, did a great job performing the dark and mysterious character for the movie.

Director Kim Yong Han says, “I think it was a difficult choice for him to appear on the movie as an idol star. I want to thank him for his bravery.”

Dong Ho, who performed the double-faced character with his emotional eyes, is expected to become a better actor, and has great potential for growth.

U-KISS’ Dongho released from hospital

U-KISS’ Dongho has now been released from the hospital.

The idol star, who was sent to the emergency room last week, canceled all his promotional activities to receive treatment for lung issues (pleurisy).

Agency NH Media announced on October 18, “Dongho has been discharged [from the hospital] after receiving surgery on the 15th. His health has greatly improved.”

Dongho has yet to recover completely, however. He’ll be resting at home for the time being. NH Media stated, “He has not recovered completely yet, so he’s resting at home. We’ll be checking in on his condition every day to figure out when he’ll be able to continue his schedule and join U-KISS promotions.”

U-KISS is currently preparing for their upcoming Japanese album.

All promotional activities canceled for U-KISS’ Dongho

U-KISS‘ Dongho was sent to the emergency room because of pain in his lungs. He was diagnosed with pleurisy, and there is the possibility that he may have to undergo surgery.

Because of his hospital stay, Dongho has canceled all of his schedules, including promotional activities for his movie ‘Don’t Cry Mommy‘. His appearance on ‘SNL Korea‘ has also been canceled, as well as all promotional activities for “Stop Girl“. He is being especially cautious because he is also scheduled to have his interview with Chung-Ang University.

U-KISS’ Dongho sent to emergency room for lung issues

U-KISS‘ Dongho has been sent to the emergency room for lung issues.

Agency NH Media stated, “On the way to a scheduled event, Dongho experienced pains and was taken to the emergency room. After tests, they found that he’s suffering from pleurisy (inflammation of the lining of the lungs and chest that leads to chest pain, usually sharp, when you take a breath or cough). Now, we’re evaluating whether he needs surgery.”

“Dongho is currently acting as the spokesperson for [the movie 'Don't Cry Mommy'] and is promoting U-KISS’ 7th album ['Stop Girl']. Excluding Dongho, the rest of U-KISS is going on with their scheduled plans. Although the planned schedule is important, Dongho’s health is the most important. We’ll be watching his progress after he receives treatment at the hospital and we figure out whether or not he needs surgery.”

U-KISS’ Dongho to show his comedic side on ‘SNL Korea’

U-KISS‘ Dongho is set to make a guest appearance on the upcoming episode of tvN‘s ‘SNL Korea‘.

Dongho will act as himself alongside Kim Jung Nan who will play the role of Dongho’s sasaeng fan. With the announcement, fans are already looking forward to seeing Dongho on a variety program once more.

Tune in for what is sure to be another hilarious episode on October 13th!

In other news, Dongho will be starring in the upcoming movie, ‘Don’t Cry Mommy‘, which will premiere in theaters this November.

U-KISS reveals Dongho & Hoon’s teaser images for ‘STOP GIRL’

U-KISS has released ‘STOP GIRL‘ teaser images for Dongho and Hoon.

After releasing their digital single “Cinderella“ last week, the group is now preparing for the release of their 7th mini-album ‘STOP GIRL‘. 

The teasers, including Eli and Kiseop‘s teaser images, Soohyun and Kevin‘s, and the group image, were all taken on the set of their upcoming music video.  

AJ is currently taking a break to pursue his studies at Columbia University.

‘STOP GIRL’ is set to release on September 20 KST.
