Block B Loses Case Against Stardom Entertainment

Block B lost its contract case against its agency Stardom Entertainment, but it showed it′s not planning on returning to the agency.

On June 7, law firm Shinwon, Block B′s legal representative, said through a press release, "We haven′t been convinced by many of the decisions the court made. We will confirm the lawful cancellation of the contract in the merit suit, then demand compensation from Stardom on its violations."

On the same day, the Seoul Central District Court had dismissed the suit Block B had brought against its agency. Its decision was made, according to the court, based on the lack of evidence on whether the agency had indeed failed to uphold its duties. It also added that it was hard to say the agency hadn′t paid the members their dues.

The release from Block B′s representative added, "[Block B] does not plan to rejoin Stardom for its future career, and so the group will prepare to go its own way. If the merit suit does not say the contract should be cancelled, the group is prepared to pay compensation."

On January 3, all the members of Block B had filed a suit for the cancellation of its contract with its agency Stardom. They claimed that the agency had not paid what the members were due for about a year.

Block B’s Taeil wants to be the new Iron Man?

Block B‘s Taeil displayed some iron envy when he came upon the ‘Iron Man’ suit from the eponymous movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Standing next to a life-size model of the latest iteration of Tony Stark’s iconic suit, Taeil mimicked its pose, looking like he’s ready to blow up the camera. “Power of iron…” he posted earlier today, apparently dreaming of what he would do with a suit like Stark’s.

Meanwhile, ‘Iron Man 3′ has already been released in theaters in South Korea. The movie is already a huge hit with the general public, having taken over the box-office charts since opening day.

Block B quietly celebrates their second anniversary

Although currently embroiled in a dispute with their agency, the members of Block B didn’t forget about their two-year anniversary, which happened earlier today.

Block B’s Taeil thanked their fans for not forgetting about this special day. “Today was Block B’s second anniversary~ it feels a bit weird being only able to receive anniversary greetings from the fans through SNS..” he posted to his Twitter earlier today. “But this is still nice ㅎ Thank you so much to all of the BBCs who congratulated us~~ good night =.=”

Similarly, Jaehyo tweeted, “To our fans who’ve been with us for two years, we sincerely thank you and we love you!”

Despite some internal problems, it’s nice to see that the Block B members haven’t forgotten about their group!

Block B cheer on P.O. and DELIGHT

Block B showed their support for fellow member P.O. and rookie girl group DELIGHT!

DELIGHT made their debut with the song “Mega Yak“, which has a rap featuring Block B‘s P.O.

CJENMMUSIC shared the video on their official YouTube channel and posted in the description box, “Block-B support P.O and Delight. The video clip above is Block-B with Delight who have prepared a special video clip for the release of ‘Mega yak’ by Delight.”

With Block B‘s rappers releasing their own mixtapes, fans may be wondering what the other members were doing. For member B-Bomb, at least, it seems that their forced time off due to their pending lawsuit has allowed them to pursue other activities.

To commemorate the day, he took to his Twitter to write, “700 days since debut.. I’m both sorry and thankful to our fans since now it’s normal for you guys to just wait. Zico officially greets fans for the first time since Block B’s lawsuit against Stardom Entertainment

Even though Zico could be keeping low profile after Block B‘s lawsuit against Stardom Entertainment, he isn’t shying away from the limelight and even produced D-Unit‘s upcoming release.

Zico has been performing on various stages with Kyung, but this is the first time since the lawsuit that Zico showed up on any official material. 

Thankfully, he was all smiles for his faithful fans, and introduced the album to viewers.

The songs are titled “Thank You” and “Talk to My Face“, and are both produced by Zico himself. Zico was adamant that the song “Thank You” was their secret weapon and that he would not give away anything. On the same token, he didn’t give much hints about “Talk to My Face” either – he merely joked that he couldn’t possibly be modest about this song because it was so awesome. He said that it was a song that D-Unit hadn’t tried before, and promised that it would be incredibly cute. He even called Kyung in the middle and joked around with him.

He ended the video with Block B’s trademark greeting – “Do you wanna be? Block B!“, with the hand motion, but left out the usual ‘Block B’ part of the greeting. Do you think it could mean something?
