F.T. Island’s 2009 release “Jump Up” ranks #1 on Taiwanese music chart

F.T. Island‘s first mini album ‘Jump Up‘ literally jumped up to take the top spot on a Taiwanese music chart

This may not seem like a big deal at first, but ‘Jump Up’ was released back in 2009. According to Taiwanese music site Omusic, it managed to rank #1 on the Korea-Japanese Album Daily Broadcast Ranking for April 9. Additionally, the title song “You’re a Bad Girl” from ‘Jump Up’ also ranked #1 on the Song Daily Chart.

It’s the first time that a song that was released 4 years ago managed to rank #1 on the Omusic charts. Congratulations to F.T. Island!

F.T. Island throws double birthday party for Hongki and Jonghoon

F.T. Island celebrated the birthday sof their oldest hyungs!

The birthdays for Jonghoon and Hongki are March 7th and March 2nd respectively, and since both days are in close proximity, it looks like the member of F.T. Island decided to celebrate their birthdays together!

In celebration, Hongki tweeted the above picture with the words “The two people with March birthdays kekeke. Thanks“.  The cake has 24 candles, as both the leader and main vocal are turning 24 in Korea. Strangely enough, even though it’s Hongki and Jonghoon’s birthday, Minhwan seems to be the one wearing Hongki’s birthday hat.

Jonghoon also had another birthday celebration from his makeup salon, and he wrote, ”I got makeup done at Kiele and got an early birthday celebration ^^♥”.

F.T. Island’s Jonghoon reveals a photo of the triple JH’s

F.T. Island‘s Jonghoon revealed a picture of the triple JH‘s!

He took to his Twitter on the 15th to share the above photo and wrote, “Jonghoon & C-Jonghyun & Sha-Jonghyun. JH JH JH. Golden Disk, fighting :)“. 

The photo was taken at ‘The 27th Golden Disk Awards‘ that took place earlier today in Malaysia. He snapped a photo with CNBLUE‘s Jonghyun and SHINee‘s Jonghyun who all have the initials of JH in their names.

F.T. Island, CNBLUE, and SHINee all won the Disk Bonsang award at the ceremony. The three are all born in 1990, and also close friends. If you can recall, SHINee’s Jonghyun wrapped up a box of chocolates pretending it was the newly released Diablo III and gave it to CNBLUE’s Jonghyun for his birthday as a prank .

G.NA shares a photo with F.T. Island’s Jonghoon from ‘The Romantic & Idol’

G.NA shared a photo with F.T. Island‘s Jonghoon from ‘The Romantic & Idol Season 2‘.

On January 9th, G.NA tweeted, “I took a selca with Jonghoon while I was on a date with him on ‘The Romantic’. I’m finally uploading it~ ^^ ke. I can’t believe I’m revealing something like this…. Puhahaha. Please show a lot of love for ‘The Romantic & Idol Season 2′! Fighting~!♥“. 

The photo she revealed showed the pair on a date, complete with the bouquet of roses that Jonghoon had prepared.

Jonghoon retweeted it as well, showing his own support for the show. The new season features G.NA, Jewelry‘s Yewon, SPICA‘s Jiwon, and TWO X‘ Eunyoung as well as F.T. Island‘s Jonghoon, BTOB‘s Minhyuk, VIXX‘ N, and ZE:A‘s Kevin.

F.T. Island’s Jonghoon and Big Bang’s Seungri display their friendship with new selca

F.T. Island‘s Jonghoon shared a cute picture on his Twitter account on December 26th.

Jonghoon added the above photo with Big Bang‘s Seungri (VI) and wrote, “VI..I love you“. In the photo, the two idol stars are sitting together on an airplane, making adorable facial expressions and poses for the camera. Seungri also stated in his Christmas diary, “This Christmas, I wanted to rest in a warm place so I went to Bangkok with F.T. Island’s Jonghoon.”

Upon seeing the picture, netizens commented, “Jonghoon and Seungri look as close as brothers!“, “If they spend Christmas together, they must be really close“, and “Jonghoon and Seungri are so cute.”
