On September 1st, B1A4 will be holding a mini concert at the Wonju Market in an effort to raise awareness for traditional markets.
The event was created as a form of celebrity marketing to help
traditional markets sustain themselves in the face of competition with
chain supermarkets and local convenience stores. For four hours, the
members of B1A4 will be joining locals to open up a one-day shop at the
market in addition to shopping around for their own goods.
The members expressed, “This is our first time participating in a
talent donation event. The concept is still new to us, but we’re happy
and honored that we can use our talents to help others and society. As
the point of this event is to help traditional markets thrive, we hope
that our efforts will aid in the agenda.”
They continued, “People our age are more used to big supermarkets
or local marts so we hope that the youth will also take an interest in
traditional supermarkets.”
