G.O and Woori to star in second idol special of ‘Love and War 2′

MBLAQ‘s G.O and Rainbow‘s Woori have been cast in the second idol special of ‘Love and War 2‘!

The first idol special had featured ZE:A‘s Dongjun, Jewelry‘s Yewon, and 4minute‘s Jihyun, and now, G.O and Woori have been confirmed to be the leading roles in the next special!

KBS said, “G.O and Woori have been confirmed for the Idol Special of ‘Love and War 2′ that will be aired on May 17th. This is the 2nd special of the Idol Special that was aired last March, and we looked into things that can happen to a young newlywed couple who is in their 20s and 30s. G.O and Woori have experience with acting, so we cast them in the second part. They’ll go through the love and friction that young couples experience before and after marriage, and will gain the sympathy of viewers in their 20s and 30s.”

The pair hasn’t started their filming session yet, but they will soon. Keep an eye out for their episode in May!

[Video] MBLAQ Brings on a Hotter Version of ‘Mona Lisa’ with Japanese PV

A treat for fans all around, MBLAQ released the Japanese version of its hit song with a completely new music video.

On April 8, MBLAQ revealed the full PV for Mona Lisa, Japanese version on its official Youtube page.

Compared to the first music video released in 2011, the members appeared a lot more mature and masculine as they flaunted off their still awesome dancing skills with upgraded charisma that′s bound to take your breath away.

Meanwhile, MBLAQ’s third Japanese single was released on March 27.

MBLAQ‘s G.O has offered his fans yet another way to keep track of his whereabouts with the opening of an official Facebook page!

Posted to his Twitter earlier today, G.O’s Facebook page has already amassed nearly 10,000 “Likes” so far on the world’s most popular social media website.
Although he hasn’t updated it much so far – only a simple “hru?” – hopefully he’ll be interacting with more fans soon.

MBLAQ takes on three different looks for the album jackets of Japanese single “Mona Lisa”

MBLAQ has taken on three different looks for the three album jackets of their Japanese single, ”Mona Lisa“, leaving fans saying, “oh yeah”, as they pick and choose their favorite!

As typical of most Japanese releases, there will be several versions of the single including two limited editions and one regular edition. So for each edition comes a new jacket; the boys sport a tough, charismatic look in all black ensembles for the first one, a preppy, boy-next-door image for the second, and finally a fun and funky look for the third version.

Their Japanese label explained the concept behind the photos stating, “The black represents their powerful performances on stage, and the white and vivid colors represent their kind and lively image when they’re not on stage.” 

MBLAQ will release their 3rd Japanese single on March 27th, so you have plenty of time to debate with yourself about whether to pick one, or you know, just splurge on all three to your wallet’s dismay.

Labelmates, MBLAQ and rookie group Two X, are here to greet fans before the Lunar New Year!

Dressed in colorful hanbok the two groups take on a softer image than their usual powerful stage concepts.

Along with the photos,Seungho, G.O, Jiyou, and Minjoo have also offered their greetings to the public as the holiday approaches.

Seungho commented, “The New Year is bright. First is health! Second is also health! Everyone be healthy and receive lots of luck in the New Year.” His fellow member G.O shared, “First, receive lots of luck in the New Year!! I’m missing all our fans like crazy. We will greet you all again with music activities in Korea soon. Please wait.”

MBLAQ‘s G.O. recently updated fans with his new black hairstyle.

G.O. took to his Twitter on the 10th to share the photo above and wrote, “No more blonde selcas and going for black sorry..”

The photo shows G.O. greetings fans for the new year with his newly dyed black hair and pleasantly surprised fans who last spotted G.O. sporting a blonde hairstyle during the year-end festivals.

MBLAQ‘s endorsement brought a 30% rise in sales for LECAF.

MBLAQ was recently chosen as the models for the sports brand and they were seen wearing goose down jackets, shoes, backpack, and windbreakers for LECAF’s new school year line. After their endorsement, LECAF recorded a 30% increase in their projected sales for the year. After ‘Section TV‘ aired BTS scenes of MBLAQ filming for the brand, more fans all over the country rushed to buy the products.

The MBLAQ goose down jacket is for men, but the product is highly popular not only to the targeted male segment but also high school female students. It is currently popular for girls to be wearing sizes larger than their actual size, and fans are looking for MBLAQ’s jacket to fit this trend. MBLAQ’s star power has been added to the design and the warmth of the jacket to increase sales even more.

LECAF will give whoever buys the MBLAQ line items a large MBLAQ poster starting on January 4th. In February, LECAF will hold a fansigning with MBLAQ in their stores.
