B2ST′s Yang Yo Seop Lands on the Oricon Charts with His Solo Album

Yang Yo Seop made it into the high ranks of the Oricon Chart with the release of his first solo album in Japan.

According to Oricon on May 15, Yang Yo Seop′s The First Collage sold 8,000 copies on the day of its release, landing on the no. 3 rank of the Oricon′s Daily Album Chart.

The album contains a total of seven tracks, including the Japanese version of Caffeine and the remake of a J-Pop single titled Another Orion.

The singer has strived to make his solo debut in Japan a success since late April, appearing in various broadcasts and performances to meet his Japanese fans.

He even held a fanmeeting with 3,000 fans at Tokyo′s Odaiba Zepp at the time.

Many media outlets, as well as officials, attended the event, and emerged saying that his solo debut is bound to be a success.

Caffeine was released in Korea in 2012, and showcased Yang Yo Seop′s charms as a vocalist.

B2ST’s Yoseob becomes an MMA fighter in Japan?

B2ST‘s tender vocalist Yoseob seems to have an unexpected interest in the MMA.

He posted a photo of himself wearing MMA gloves, writing, “These are MMA gloves that the Japanese label bought for me because Yoseob worked hard! Keke. Hehe. I also got boxing gloves too! I feel good! When you get presents, you feel good, right? When I record music, I think of it as giving you all a present. No matter what kind of song it is; even if it’s an OST song, a featured song, my album, or a promotion for someone else. I prepare my present happily so Beauties can listen. Everyone, please accept the present with joy! Hehe. In the end, Korea is the best ㅜㅜ .”

Yoseob recently revealed, “I’m into boxing lately. I did it for about 2 months, and it’s really fun. If it’s possible, I want to debut as an athlete.”

Will BEAST’s Yoseob Be the Next Celebrity Boxer?

On the recent episode of KBS’s “Entertainment Relay,” which was aired on April 27, group BEAST’s members were interviewed at a pictorial photoshoot.

During the interview, Yang Yoseob revealed that his new hobby is boxing. He stated, “I am really into boxing now. I have been doing it for about two months and it is really fun. If possible, I would love to debut as a professional boxer.”

When the reporter asked if he wants to be like actress Lee Si Young, who recently made the National Boxing Team, Yoseob answered, “I actually wanted to enter a boxing competition in May and I even lost some weight for it. But it didn’t work out. I am planning to try again for the game, which will take place in August.”

B2ST‘s Yoseob will be working with Cube Girls to release a digital single titled, “Perfume“!

The song is Cube Entertainment‘s first ‘voice project’, which is a project that focuses only on music. 

Cube Girls is the temporary name of Cube Entertainment’s new girl group and they’re pairing up with B2ST’s Yoseob for the sweet song.

Yoseob Reveals Teaser for Upcoming Japanese Solo Album “The First Collage”

Having successfully released his solo debut album last year in Korea, BEAST‘s  Yoseob will now make his solo debut in Japan.

His album teaser commercial for his album “The First Collage” was revealed today on Universal Music Japan’s YouTube channel. Once again, the title track will be “Caffeine,” which features the rapping of fellow BEAST member Yong Jun Hyung. 

Set for release on May 15, there will also be a limited edition album that will include a special  DVD.

B2ST’s Yoseob to have a solo Japanese debut in May

B2ST‘s Yoseob will debut in Japan as a solo artist in May!

He’ll be releasing ‘The First Collage‘, the same album he released in Korea, on May 15 and have his solo promotions. His label Cube Entertainment said, “His solo activities in Korea had a very good response, and he’s been continuously getting love calls from Japan. He’s working on B2ST’s new album as well as his Japanese activities. We look forward to Yoseob’s unique emotional solo stages appealing in Japan.”

The album will have the songs from the Korean album in Japanese, and Junhyung will also participate as a rapper for the Japanese version of the title song “Caffeine“. Also, he’ll have a limited special edition version which will include a DVD.

B2ST sings Junhyung’s self-produced song “Black Paradise” for ‘IRIS 2′ OST + MV released

B2ST woke up their sleeping B2UTYs with the release of Junhyung’s self-created song “Black Paradise” for the KBS 2TV drama ‘IRIS 2‘ OST!

“Black Paradise” is the third song released for the drama following Davichi‘s “Do You Not Know” and Noel‘s “What Is It Like“. Although fans got a short preview of the song on the February 21st broadcast as well as hint on the lyrics from Junhyung himself, the full song was kept under wraps until now!

Junhyung who also produced fellow member Yoseob‘s “Caffeine” teamed up with composer Kim Tae Joo to produce the song for his fellow member Doojoon‘s starring drama. The song breaks away from the typical OST songs you tend to hear in serious dramas with the addition of a hip hop feel.

B2ST will be supporting Doojoon‘s drama by releasing a track for ‘Iris 2‘.

Much like how Big Bang sung “Hallelujah” for T.O.P when he played the role of Vick on ‘Iris‘, B2ST will be coming together for Doojoon to sing “Black Paradise“.

Doojoon plays agent Seo Hyun Woo in ‘Iris 2‘, and he’s been showing off his trademark charisma combined with bright smiles on the drama.

B2ST’s ‘Selca Book by BEAST’ hits bestseller list

B2ST‘s photo book ‘Selca Book by BEAST‘ has hit the bestseller list soon after pre-orders started on the 13th KST.

The members of B2ST personally took selcas for the photo book during their day-to-day activities. They also wrote small messages to go along with each photo.

‘Selca Book by BEAST’, which contains around 500 images, is separated into the following chapters: ‘Unforgettable Moment’, ‘A Pleasant Memory’, ‘Joyful Days’, ‘Happiness Story’, ‘Thank You for Everything’, and ‘Until We Meet Again’.

The moment pre-orders started online, it rose to 2nd place on the bestseller list at Kyobo Bookstore. Pre-orders will close on the 20th KST.

Yoseob reveals MV for “Although I”

B2ST member Yoseob previously revealed his debut solo album ‘The First Collage‘, and now has followed up with a music video release for “Although I“!

4minute’s Gayoon denies dating B2ST’s Doojoon or Yoseob

4minute‘s Gayoon clarified the rumors behind her dating Doojoon or Yoseob on ‘Beatles Code‘.

The 4minute member had been swept under various dating rumors with her Cube Entertainment labelmates, the members of B2ST. Not only is she close with all the members, but the B2ST members often talk about her, causing fans to wonder if she was romantically linked with one of them. The MCs of ‘Beatles Code‘ asked Gayoon, “How do you feel about Doojoon choosing you as the celebrity he wants to date?”

Gayoon laughed and answered, “It’s because he sees me as a pushover.” 

When asked how she felt about Doojoon as a man, she answered, “I saw things I shouldn’t have seen while we were both trainees, so I don’t see him as a man.” To this, Shindong made everyone laugh by announcing, “Doojoon has just been rejected by Gayoon.”

She was also asked about the rumors between her and Yoseob as well, to which she also merely said, “We’re just close friends“.

On the show, Gayoon also briefly talked about how she broke up with her first boyfriend, who was a soldier, during her trainee days.

Who Wore it Better: B2ST’s Yoseob vs. B1A4′s Jinyoung

For this edition of WWIB, we’ve got two solo performers in fancy suits!

For the December 20 episode of ‘M! Countdown‘, B2ST‘s Yoseob wore a black and red suit with a white shirt and silver necklace to perform “Caffeine“. During B1A4‘s ‘BABA B1A4‘ concert in December, Jinyoung wore a similar suit for his solo performance of “Be My Girl“, along with a black mesh shirt.

These suits are very similar, but not identical- Yoseob’s is made of normal suiting material, while Jinyoung’s has a tone-on-tone lace overlay on the blazer. Jinyoung’s pocket flaps are set into the seam between the black and red parts of the jacket, while Yoseob’s pockets are set a little lower. Yoseob’s jacket has a high waist, probably to make his legs look longer and make him look taller, while Jinyoung’s jacket has a lower waist. Jinyoung’s suit also fits him notably looser than Yoseob’s.

B2ST’s Yoseob talks about his first kiss

During the latest episode of ‘Beatles Code 2‘, B2STs’s Yoseob was asked about his very first kiss. He commented, “I’ve [been in a relationship before], but I don’t know if it was love.”

Yoseob revealed his first kiss was in high school. MC Shindong asked, “Was it during your second year, 11:00 PM at a playground?” The B2ST member was surprised as he asked, “How did you know?”

Yoseob continued, “To be honest, we had no money and nowhere to go. Even though we were freezing, we just enjoyed holding hands in the cold. Then we happened to have our first kiss.”

When asked about who the lucky girl was, he answered, “She was a friend I knew since junior high school. I asked her out first, but I didn’t know what to do, so even when I held her hand I asked for permission. My friends told me girls didn’t like to be in relationships like that, so when I kissed her I didn’t ask.“

B2ST’s Yoseob discusses dating + his reaction to the outbreak about the news of Junhyung and Hara

B2ST member Yoseob discussed issues related to dating and his thoughts about his fellow member’s public relationship, catching the attention of viewers.

On the latest episode of Mnet‘s ‘Beatles Code 2‘, Yoseob piqued the curiosity of many when he revealed that a female idol member had approached him before and revealed her feelings.

He began, “After I debuted, I was approached by a female idol, but I was unable to accept her feelings for me.”

When asked whether or not he also had interest in the mysterious idol, Yoseob honestly answered, “I did have feelings for her, but I was afraid.”

He then explained why he had to turn her down, saying, “I didn’t think I’d be able to manage dating a celebrity. As an idol and a member of a group, I didn’t want to bring harm to others. Even now, we’re still close friends.”

This of course led to the topic of Junhyung and Hara‘s public relationship, and the idol reflected back on the day the news of their relationship broke out.

Yoseob honestly expressed his mind state at the time: “On some aspects, I wasn’t happy about it. It was a difficult time. To be honest, it wasn’t a time when they were prepared to make their relationship public. So, the day the news broke out, I kept checking on the situation every hour through my phone.”

The idol revealed that although he and the other members were initially unsettled by the news, they soon showed their support for their fellow member and told him, “Since news has already broken out like this, you guys have to date for a long time. Keep meeting each other well and happily.”

B2ST’s Yoseob reveals that he once tried to run away from home

During a recent filming of JTBC‘s ‘We Are Detectives‘, B2ST‘s Yoseob featured as a guest and revealed for the first time that he once tried to run away from home.

MC Lee Hwi Jae asked, “Have you ever run away from home?” Yoseob shocked everyone on set by sharing, “I have an experience, but my mom doesn’t know about it. I stopped my attempt to run away and ended up having to come back home. Although I intended to run away at first, it became just an outing.”

Yoseob continued to reveal how he became cold and hungry during his runaway attempt, so he waited in front of his doorstep and went back inside with his older sister who was on her way home.

Fellow member Junhyung shared on his Twitter on the 7th, “A thought that must have crossed the minds of men, ‘when I get paid’. Prepix x yoseop !!!! Must check it out!!!”, along with the above photo.

The photo shows Yoseob and B2ST’s choreographer and Prepix member Ha Woo Shin both flashing peace signs while donning matching black tops. Yoseob is also seen showing his support for Prepix by holding up their new album.

B2ST’s Yoseob to show off his small face in ‘Weekly Idol’

During a recent filming of MBC Every1‘s ‘Weekly Idol‘, B2ST‘s Yoseob surprised the MCs with his relatively small face.

While Yoseob stood between MCs Jung Hyung Don and Defconn to confirm rumors of his small face, Jung Hyung Don stated, “In between the MCs, Yoseob’s face seems like a mole.”

 

The MCs were also able to cover Yoseob’s entire face with a roll of toilet paper and expressed their shock at how small Yoseob’s face is by commenting, “Your face is really small” and “It’s amazing [how small your face is].”

2AM’s Jo Kwon and B2ST’s Yoseob snap a friendly photo backstage

2AM‘s leader Jo Kwon has captured the attention of fans with a photo taken with B2ST‘s Yoseob.

On December 29th, Jo Kwon simply tweeted, “With Yoseob and the Smurfs~ >_< Lalalala.” Attached was a friendly photo taken with Yoseob backstage at the ‘2012 SBS Gayo Daejun‘.

The shared photo shows the two singers posing closely together as they each hold up a smurf doll. Jo Kwon and Yoseob performed together under the group ‘Dynamic Black‘ for the ’2012 SBS Gayo Daejun’, which took place on December 29th.

MBLAQ’s Seungho and B2ST snap a friendly photo together

MBLAQ‘s Seungho shared a photo with B2ST‘s Junhyung, Yoseob, and Doojoon.

On January 1st (KST), Seungho tweeted, “A+.. B2uty and everyone else! Happy new year! I love!” and attached the photo above. It seems the photo was backstage at the ‘2012 MBC Gayo Daejaejeon‘, and Junhyung is taking the photo for him due to Seungho’s cast.

The photo shows not only Junhyung and Seungho in the front, but Yoseob in the background. Junhyung also managed to snap a photo of Doojoon, who was using his phone.
