The leader of the group Infinite (Sunggyu, Dongwoo, Woohyun, Hoya,
Sungyeol, L, Sungjong), Sunggyu, is making his solo debut with a modern
rock genre, supported by the rock band Nell.
Sunggyu is going to release a song from his first solo album
on November 7th at 12PM. This song is a song with a modern rock genre
produced by Nell’s Kim Jongwan, it’s a song that makes us look forward to Sunggyu’s vocal transformations.
Sunggyu, who is Infinite’s first member to go solo, is showing his
charms as a rocker this time. Originally, before debuting in infinite,
Sunggyu was in a rock band, when he appeared in KBS 2TV ‘Immortal Song’,
he recovered his rocker nature and was determined to show a new
transformation.
Sunggyu newly cleared his voice. On the 6th, at midnight, they
released the audio teaser through the homepage; it caused a controversy
as his voice was different from his vocals during Infinite’s activities,
with a sadder tone.
Infinite’s company told Star News “While preparing his solo album, Sunggyu showed a considerable focus and tried to transform himself” and “The
voice in the audio teaser is really Sunggyu’s. It is a solo song that
will show different charms from when Sunggyu is promoting with Infinite”.
Sunggyu worked on his album while going back and forth between Korea and Japan.
Infinite started their Yokohama Arena tour last month, on the 27th and
28th, and successfully ended their concert on November 1st in Nagoya.
As Infinite’s leader and main vocal, Sunggyu is in charge of the
musical core of the group, so while recently appearing on ‘Immortal Song
2 Singing the Legends’, his talents were also recognized.
