Rising boy group MYNAME is off to a good start in Japan as their Japanese debut single “Message” has ranked within the top 10 on the Oricon.
The group’s agency, H2 Media, announced, “MYNAME’s
debut track ‘Message’, which was released on the 25th, ranked #1 in
sales at the Shibuya Tower Records in Tokyo and also landed at #9 on the
Oricon Chart, kicking off a successful Japanese debut.”
To help with their debut in Japan, MYNAME has teamed up with management companies Irving Entertainment and Yoshimoto RNC, which is home to big-name Hallyu celebrities like Ryu Si Won, Kwon Sang Woo, and Jung Woo Sung.
H2 Media continued, “The boys were met with an explosive response
from fans as all albums were sold out on the day of release at the
Shibuya Tower Records in Tokyo. In celebration of their Japanese debut,
the group captured the hearts’ of Japanese fans by performing a
four-track showcase at the Tower Records store. The members were
surprised to hear news that they have ranked within the Top 10 on the
Oricon Chart. It’s a bit too early to say that it’s a success with just
landing on the daily chart, but we hope to expand ourselves through
future promotions.”
Meanwhile, MYNAME has begun their official promotions in Japan by appearing on various Japanese TV programs and radio stations.
