Amuse Korea and Universal Music‘s ambitious global boy band CROSS GENE made their official debut today with the release of their album, ‘Timeless – Begins‘, and the title track music video for “La-Di Da-Di“.
Comprised of members Casper, J.G., Takuya, Yongseok, Sangmin, and Shin (Shin Won Ho),
the group is said to be a combination of the ‘best genes’ from Korea,
Japan, and China. Their ‘Timeless Begins’ debut album has been earning
the attention of music fans for the unique combination of members and
their musical style. Their title track itself is an electro dance number
with a Euro club style hook that’s both addictive and powerful.
True to the group’s name, their title track is a global production much like the group. “La-Di Da-Di” is actually the work of DJ Frank E, a producer who’s worked with the likes of Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Flo Rida, Kanye West, the Black Eyed Peas, and Eminem in the past. The song’s choreography was created by Kento Mori, the former choreographer for Madonna, Ne-Yo, and Chris Brown.
Finally, the music video was directed by Cho Soo Hyun, who’s produced the music videos for f(x)‘s “Pinocchio“, the Wonder Girls‘ “Be My Baby“, SHINee‘s “Sherlock“, and TVXQ‘s “Mirotic” in the past.
Amuse Korea expressed, “We plan to show what sets CROSS GENE apart from the other idol groups with their global scale and style.”
CROSS GENE will be making their debut on June 14th through Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘.
